Conceptual thinking, visual communication, studio practice, and hands-on experimentation — taught through making rather than lecture.

I teach design as a way of thinking before it is a way of making. Students arrive expecting software; what they leave with is a method — how to look, how to question a brief, how to test an idea in material form and let the result change their mind.
My classroom is a studio: iterative, participatory, and hands-on. Critique is treated as shared research rather than judgement, and experimentation is the assignment, not a detour from it.
